Yep, definitely.
Have you been onto Amazon and seen the ease in which readers pop out (unintentionally by them) queries?
It’s simply in the way they give overviews of books.
And what a great job they do. They’ll punch out the essence of a book in a quick 150 word snapshot that we authors KNOW would take us hours to do when we do it.
Why?
Because they’re not the writer of the story, so they’re objective without needing to try.
I so think that objectivity helps when writing queries. Readers don’t have a history with eh story or characters so they’re impartial. As a result they type out summaries so easily that it’s nothing short of crazy.
